Predator Gaming brought top Dota 2 and VALORANT teams to Cebu, electrifying Robinsons Galleria Cebu with world-class esports action at the Predator League 2025 Philippine Finals.
Grassroots Endeavor from the Start
Predator League always seeks to discover new talent in the local esports scene. Four regional qualifiers were held across the archipelago, giving players a chance to showcase their skills and experience high-level play.
The Predator League 2025 Philippine Finals saw top Dota 2 and VALORANT teams battle for a share of the PHP 1,000,000 prize pool. The champions earned PHP 250,000 each and a spot in the Asia Pacific Grand Finals.
Dota 2 Highlights
The Dota 2 Grand Finals pitted long-standing squad Execration against newer team Ivory. The match between Execration’s Charles “Lewis” Santos and Ivory’s Argle “Ken” Llesis was thrilling from the start. While Ivory brought their A-game, Execration’s tried and tested experience prevailed. Lewis dominated as usual, while Denz “Denzsanity” Anedez impressed with an average of 7.5 kills and 10.5 assists per game.
VALORANT Highlights
DLSU VALORANT Esports, UAAP’s VALORANT champions, earned a direct invite to the Predator League 2025 Philippines Finals. Despite limited LAN experience, they proved their competitive edge by reaching the finals in a tournament stacked with pro players.
DLSU showed they could stand with VALORANT team staple ZOL Esports in the Grand Finals. Xavier “Xavi8k” Juan’s squad from Taft fell short as ZOL Esports swept them 2-0, fueled by Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza’s clutch plays and heroics. Xavi8k played for Oasis Gaming when they bested ZOL Esports in the Predator League 2024 Philippine Finals. It came around full circle for ZOL and made this year’s victory all the sweeter.
Tickets Booked for Kuala Lumpur
Execration, Ivory, and ZOL Esports have claimed their spot in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 Grand Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Team Secret will join them in flying the Philippine flag against the best teams in the region early next year.
