Huawei’s top-tier Mate 70 series is here! The Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS aren’t just flashier versions of the Mate 70 Pro—they pack larger batteries, premium titanium builds, and extra RAM for a truly elevated experience.
Huawei Mate 70 Pro+
The Mate 70 Pro+ sits comfortably between the Pro and the RS, offering more than the Pro but not quite reaching the RS’s ultra-premium status. Let’s break it down.
Its rear panel combines gold threads and brocade fiber, creating a durable nylon material that Huawei says can easily handle impacts. The textured surface reflects light in dazzling star-shaped patterns, giving it a unique and eye-catching look.
The frame is crafted from titanium alloy, which Huawei refers to as a “high-brightness basalt structure.” It’s as tough as it sounds—strong, scratch-resistant, and built to withstand drops. Plus, the body boasts an IP69 rating for top-notch resistance against water and dust.
Up front, you get a stunning 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with a 2832×1316 resolution, a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 2,500 nits. Protected by second-gen Kunlun Glass, the screen also houses a 3D face scanner, while the fingerprint scanner has been thoughtfully moved to the side for added convenience.
Mate 70 Pro+ Processor, Camera, and Massive Battery
Under the hood, the Mate 70 Pro+ likely runs on Huawei’s Kirin 9020 chipset, paired with a hefty 16GB of RAM as standard. It also features the Ark Engine, ensuring smooth and responsive performance across the board.
The camera setup is impressive, boasting three powerful shooters on the back. The main camera is a 50MP RYYB sensor with a 24mm variable aperture lens (f/1.4-f/4.0). There’s also a 40MP RYYB ultrawide camera with a 13mm f/2.2 lens and a 48MP RYYB telephoto camera offering 4x zoom, a 92.5mm f/2.1 lens, and close-focusing capabilities. Autofocus is supported on all three cameras. Up front, a 13MP f/2.4 selfie camera rounds out the setup.
Powering it all is a beefy 5,700mAh battery—200mAh more than the Mate 70 and Mate 70 Pro—supporting blazing-fast 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Huawei Mate 70 RS
Now, let’s talk about the Huawei Mate 70 RS. Like the Pro+, it features a sleek “high-brightness titanium” frame, but it takes things up a notch with an even better display and tougher glass.
The screen keeps the same 6.9-inch size, 120Hz LTPO tech, and FHD+ resolution, but it uses a dual-layer OLED that boosts the peak brightness to an impressive 3,500 nits. Huawei’s upgraded Basalt Tempered Kunlun Glass protects this stunning display, providing even more durability.
The Mate 70 RS has a lot in common with the Pro+, including its 5,700mAh battery, 16GB of RAM, and storage options of 512GB or 1TB. It also sports the same impressive triple rear camera setup. Both devices run on HarmonyOS 4.3 and support Baidu Satellite Connectivity for improved communication, even in remote areas.
