After a 72-hour observation period, Globe SIM registration portal is now fully optimized and stable. Customers may continue to plan and schedule their registration following the recent release of the SIM Registration Act’s Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) by the National Telecommunications Commission.

We took the last 72 hours to observe fixes we made on our SIM registration portal, and it has held stable after full optimization. We would like to thank our 87.9 million customers for their continued understanding as we had to adjust our system.

Globe Chief Commercial Officer Issa Guevarra-Cabreira

As of 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, Globe has logged over 3.9 million registered SIMs in its portal.

Globe has logged over 1.5 million SIM registrations as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, hours after the platform went back online after fine-tuning and optimization for better customer experience.

“We are encouraged by the numbers we see as we go into the New Year. It’s a great way to start 2023, as millions of our customers abide by the law and log on to our portal to register,” added Guevarra-Cabreira.

Globe would also like to reassure its customers that there is enough time to register. All Globe Prepaid, TM, Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi, Globe Mobile WiFi and Globe Business prepaid customers have until April 26, 2023 to register.

New Globe SIM users may immediately register their SIMs to start enjoying Globe’s call, text, and data services.

For existing Globe Postpaid, Globe Platinum, Globe LTE@Home and Globe Business Postpaid customers, customer data and information are deemed included in the platform. Globe will get in touch with these customers to confirm and complete their registration details to align it with the requirements of the law.

Registration via the Globe One app will begin by January 2023, while on-site assisted registration will start in February 2023 for Globe customers facing challenges using digital or online platforms, using feature or basic phones, or have no internet access.
