At an event in China on Monday, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X Note smartphone. The smartphone features ZEISS optics and a large 7-inch screen. The smartphone, together with the Vivo X Fold and Vivo Pad, was released today.
Vivo X Note Specifications
The phone sports a 7-inch curved-side display. It’s an LTPO 3.0 E5 AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution of 3080 x 1440 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1500 nits. In addition to DisplayMate A+ certification, the screen has a 21:10 aspect ratio.
The X Note is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship SoC, as you might expect. It has 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB or 512GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage. It also includes Vivo’s V1 image optimization chip.
A 3D ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner with a wider area is included on the phone. Surprisingly, Vivo has incorporated an alert slider on the device’s left side.
It also has a dual-SIM slot, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi capabilities. The device also contains an IR blaster and an IP68 grade for water and dust protection.
The Vivo X Note has a 5,000mAh battery that supports both wired and wireless fast charging at 80W and 50W, respectively. According to Vivo, the phone can be fully charged in 32 minutes. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 12.
In terms of its camera, the Note features a new rear-camera design. A quad-camera system is mounted on an enlarged camera island on the Vivo X Note.
A 50MP Samsung GN1 (OIS) main lens, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP portrait sensor, and an 8MP periscope telephoto (OIS) lens comprise the configuration. The telephoto sensor supports 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom. ZEISS optics has co-tuned the phone’s cameras. It sports an 8MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X Note is available in three colors: black, blue, and gray. The following is the pricing.
- 8GB + 256GB for CNY ($942/PHP49,000)
- 12GB + 256GB for CNY 6,499 ($1,020/PHP53,000)
- 12GB + 512GB for CNY 6,999 ($1,100/PHP57,000)
A 50W wireless charging pad has also been released by the firm for CNY 99 ($16/PHP800). In China, the smartphone will go on sale on April 15th.
