Chinese phone maker Vivo has introduced two new phones of the S15 lineup today during the launch conference in China, and it’s the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro. Both phones feature Samsung-made 120Hz AMOLED displays and 4,500mAh batteries.
vivo S15 Pro
For starters, the Vivo S15 Pro uses a 6.56-inch AMOLED display in 1080 x 2376 resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, with 1,500-nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. It also has up to a 1,000Hz touch-response rate, with an X-axis linear motor and 500 presets for the haptic feedback.
The Pro model is powered by the Dimensity 8100. It has a “gaming-grade” cooling system inside that prevents the chip from heating. The Mali-G610 MC6 GPU is accompanied by Vivo’s additional chip, the Gaming Graphics Core Pro, that helps the phone maintain a consistent frame rate when playing games.
There’s also a 360-degree antenna coverage, supplied by dual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas for an uninterrupted connection.
In terms of cameras, the S15 Pro comes equipped with a set of three cameras located at the back. The triple-camera setup consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766V main sensor, with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.9 aperture, sitting next to a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is the 32MP selfie snapper.
The phone packs a kinda-large 4,500mAh battery inside, that charges at 80W which the brand claims the phone can go from a flat zero to a 70-percent in 18 minutes while charging the battery to a full 100-percent in just 35 minutes.

The non-Pro model, on the other hand, sports a smaller 6.62-inch AMOLED display in 1080 x 2400 resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1,300-nits peak brightness, and support for HDR10+.
The base model opts in for a Snapdragon 870 processor, with a vapor chamber cooling system inside. The chip comes with a VMET memory technology, which makes the chip the fastest Snapdragon 870 yet, claims the company.
As for the cameras, the Vivo S15 retains the triple-camera setup and uses a 64MP primary sensor, sitting next to an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth camera modules. The front-facing camera uses the same 32MP selfie shooter seen on the Pro model.
The Vivo S15 packs the same 4,500mAh battery but charges at a toned-down 66W. Albeit, it still can go from a flat zero to a half hundred in just 18 minutes.
