Back in October, Gmail introduced a redesign of its summary cards, making them more user-friendly and easier to navigate. Now, the updated Google Calendar card is rolling out, providing a more streamlined way to view upcoming events at a glance.
In time for the holiday shopping season, Google also launched a new Purchase card in Gmail. This feature displays images of orders, live package tracking, and other essential details, with handy shortcuts like “Track package” and “View order” for quick access.
Gmail has rolled out an updated Event card linked to Google Calendar. This new feature appears when you receive emails related to events, like a restaurant reservation or a dentist appointment.
The updated card makes it easier to spot key details, with the day, date, and time prominently displayed at the top. Below that, you’ll find the event name and a related image, followed by the location and any relevant details like your section or seat, if applicable.
The updated Event card will also show any related events from your Google Calendar, including when they end. Plus, it comes with handy buttons for actions like inviting others, viewing your ticket, getting directions, adding the event to your Calendar, or even calling the venue.
This feature is now available for Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users on both Android and iOS.
Looking ahead, Gmail will be updating summary cards for Bills and Travel. These updates will soon appear in Gmail search and be featured in a new “Happening soon” section, neatly stacked above your inbox for easy access.
