ColorOS 15 is here, showcasing a fresh design language that brings new icons, lighting effects, and subtle enhancements throughout the user interface (UI), all while placing a strong emphasis on AI features.
In addition to these updates, ColorOS 15 introduces the new Aurora and Tidal Engine, enhancing rendering and providing smooth, lag-free app animations, even when switching between apps quickly. OPPO has also implemented a dynamic cache allocation system that manages resources in real-time, resulting in an 18% boost in-app responsiveness and a 26% increase in app installation speed.
AI takes center stage with the introduction of the XiaoBu Assistant, which now offers consistent, content-aware prompts, along with a handy new circle-to-search option for added user convenience.
OPPO has completely revamped its AI image processing capabilities. New features include one-touch removal of people and reflections, portrait blur removal, and enhanced image upscaling. Plus, OPPO’s Live Photos now come with electronic image stabilization (EIS) for smoother results.
The Notes app also benefits from these AI enhancements, as it can now format and summarize your notes. There’s even a new document scanning feature that includes built-in summarization and translation between different languages, making it easier than ever to manage your information.
Lastly, the upgrade to the voice recorder now allows it to summarize and transcribe your recordings, making it even more useful. Another significant change is that OPPO has separated the notification shade from the control center, giving you more clarity and control over your notifications.
ColorOS 15 will be pre-installed on the upcoming OPPO Find X8 Series and OnePlus 13 devices in China. You can check the rollout schedule for older models above.
