Shopee Meta Partnership Philippines Empowers Creators and Small Businesses

The Shopee Meta Partnership Philippines is changing how Filipinos shop and sell online. This collaboration gives creators and small businesses new ways to earn, engage, and grow.

Through the partnership, Shopee and Meta introduce tools that connect social discovery with seamless checkout. Shoppers can now find products on Facebook and complete their purchases on Shopee with just a few taps.

“We’re empowering creators, brands, and sellers to connect their Facebook communities with Shopee’s trusted platform,” said Peggy Zhu, Head of Brand and Growth Marketing at Shopee.


How the Shopee Meta Partnership Philippines Supports Creators

Creators can now access Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, a unified dashboard that links Facebook and Shopee affiliate accounts. It simplifies how creators tag Shopee products in posts and Reels.

When viewers click the tags, they go straight to Shopee to finish checkout. This process shortens the buyer journey and boosts engagement.

Shopee is the first e-commerce partner for Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, taking the lead in strengthening the affiliate marketing ecosystem across Asia.

“We’re making it easier for creators to earn while connecting brands with audiences,” Zhu added.

The partnership also enhances the Shopee Affiliate Program. Affiliates can earn higher commissions, enjoy free product samples, and join training sessions to improve their content and earnings.


Enhancing Livestreams Through Collaborative Ads

The partnership introduces Collaborative Ads for Facebook Live. These ads allow brands and sellers to feature products from their Shopee catalogues directly during livestreams.

Viewers can tap on a product to learn more and complete their purchase instantly on Shopee. Sellers can pin items, show reviews, and highlight deals — creating a more interactive experience.

Shopee is currently the first marketplace to join this Meta beta program, active in the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

“Meta is adapting to how people shop and interact,” said Damian Kim, APAC Director of Monetization at Meta. “By merging livestreams and shopping, we’re helping users act on their interests immediately.”


The Future of Social Commerce in the Philippines

The Shopee Meta Partnership Philippines strengthens Shopee’s growing content ecosystem. In 2024, affiliates produced over 100 million Shopee Live and Shopee Video content pieces, tripling the numbers from 2023.

This growth shows how social commerce continues to reshape the online shopping experience. By combining Meta’s tools with Shopee’s vast product catalog, creators and sellers can reach wider audiences while offering smoother, more personal experiences.
