Huawei has officially unveiled the nova 13 and nova 13 Pro in China today. The Nova 13 has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1084×2412 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,440Hz PWM dimming, plus an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Nova 13 runs on HarmonyOS 4.2 and offers plenty of storage options with 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB variants. On the back, it sports a dual camera setup featuring a 50MP f/1.9 main camera and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens. There’s an impressive 60MP f/2.4 front camera for selfies, perfect for capturing sharp and detailed shots.
The Nova 13 features a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 100W fast wired charging. The phone measures 161.4 x 75.3 x 6.98 mm and weighs 195g. It also supports satellite connectivity, but only within mainland China.
The Nova 13 Pro features a 6.76-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1224×2776 resolution, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Like the standard model, it also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and the same storage options.
The Nova 13 Pro features a versatile rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera (f/1.4 to f/4.0), a 12MP 3x telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. It measures 163.4 x 74.9 x 7.82 mm, weighs 209g, and has an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. Aside from these camera enhancements, the rest of the specifications are the same as those of the standard nova 13.
The Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro are available for pre-order in China, starting at CNY 2,699 (~₱30,400) and CNY 3,699 (~₱42,300), respectively. However, it’s still unclear when or if these models will be released internationally. Huawei hasn’t revealed details about the chipset powering either device, which many are eager to learn.
