Google I/O 2025 is officially set for May 20-21, returning once again to the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. The event kicks off at 10 AM PT (5 PM UTC), with Google CEO Sundar Pichai leading the opening keynote, where we can expect major announcements on AI, Android, and more.
Following the keynote, Google will dive into technical sessions and developer-focused talks, showcasing the latest advancements in software, cloud computing, and hardware. With AI playing a bigger role than ever, this year’s I/O could bring exciting updates across Google’s ecosystem.
Google will livestream I/O 2025, letting everyone watch the main keynotes and sessions online. In classic Google fashion, the company revealed the event date through a fun interactive puzzle called Prism Shift, keeping its tradition of playful teasers alive.
While I/O is primarily a developer conference, it’s also where Google unveils major updates to Android and sometimes even new hardware. Last year, we saw over 100 announcements, including the Gemini 1.5 models, Imagen 3 for AI image generation, and Project Astra, a next-gen AI assistant.
