After a week of teasers and speculations, local tech consumer brand Cherry Mobile finally introduces its first 5G-enabled handsets in the country. Meet — the Aqua S10 Pro 5G and the Aqua SV 5G.
Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro 5G
The first we have here is the Aqua S10 Pro 5G. It is the successor of the last year’s Aqua S10 Pro with the inclusion of the latest 5G connectivity, and more. It features a slightly large 6.78-inch IPS display in Full HD resolution with a punch-hole cut-out for the 16MP selfie snapper. It has a Dimensity 700 5G chip with a 7nm process, accompanied by 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and runs on Android 11.
Aside from its processor, the Aqua S10 Pro 5G retains the same quad-camera setup seen on its predecessor. It comes with a 48MP primary shooter alongside 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth camera modules. It also offers a large 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support through USB-C, as well as 10W for wireless charging, and includes an audio jack.
The Cherry Mobile Aqua S10 Pro 5G retails for PHP 7,999.
Cherry Mobile Aqua SV 5G
The latter is obviously the best part since we have already heard of the Aqua S10 Pro and the name “Aqua SV” sounds like it came out fresh from the oven. It also marks the highlight of Cherry’s new era of venturing into the 5G scene.
The Aqua SV 5G features a 6.6-inch AMOLED display in Full HD resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a pill-shaped punch-hole cut-out housing the 16MP dual front cameras with a 2MP depth sensor and also comes with a set of four cameras on the back, comprised of 64MP main, 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors.
Inside, it uses a more-powerful 6nm Dimensity 810 chip, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also comes with a liquid cooling system and runs on Android 11. For biometrics, the Aqua SV comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for another layer of security. It also has a 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging tech through USB-C with dual-mic.
The Cherry Mobile Aqua SV 5G sells out for PHP 11,999.
Both smartphones will be available at Cherry Mobile stores and kiosks nationwide, including the brand’s online shopping channels on Cherry Shop, Shopee, and Lazada. It is also worth noting that the Aqua SV 5G will come with a special discounted price of PHP 9,999 on Shopee on May 8, so be sure to keep an eye on that.
