With the Samsung Galaxy S25 family set to arrive in January, there’s still some uncertainty about whether it will be early or late in the month. However, approaching the official reveal, a recent benchmark run has confirmed that the base model will come with 12GB of RAM.
This is an upgrade from the 8GB in the entry-level Galaxy S24, though the S24 also had a 12GB version.
Fingers crossed that the Galaxy S25 drops the 8GB option entirely, but we won’t know for sure until the official announcement. So, take this with a grain of salt for now!
The Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup might all feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset—or maybe not. Along with the exact launch date, this remains one of the big mysteries surrounding Samsung’s next flagship. Rumors have been swirling in both directions for a while, so for now, it’s anyone’s guess.
For what it’s worth, the benchmarked prototype was running Qualcomm’s chip, but keep in mind this version is destined for the Korean market. Naturally, it was also running Android 15.
The leaked renders above show that the Galaxy S25 will closely resemble its predecessor in design. Watch out for more updates regarding the Galaxy S25 series.
