The refreshed Redmi Book 14 (2025) and Redmi Book 16 (2025) were officially unveiled today in China. The design remains similar to the 2024 models, with the key update being the new Intel Core i5-2200H CPUs, boosting performance without changing the overall look.
One significant improvement is battery life, which has been boosted by 15.6%. Redmi credits the AI-powered Intel processors for the battery boost, despite maintaining the same capacity.
Display & Design Features
The Redmi Book 14 features a 16:10 aspect ratio screen with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, and 100% sRGB coverage, ideal for work and play. The Redmi Book 16 has a larger screen with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution for a similarly immersive experience.
Performance & Storage
Both laptops come with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, ensuring fast load times and smooth multitasking. The devices run on Windows 11 and feature a dual-fan cooling system to manage heat during intensive tasks.
Battery & Charging
The Redmi Book 14 uses a 56Wh battery, while the Redmi Book 16 packs a larger 72Wh cell. Both models support 100W fast charging via a GaN adapter. Connectivity options include a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port for both data transfer and charging, as well as an HDMI 2.1 port for external displays, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 1x USB-A 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Connectivity & Extras
Both laptops feature Wi-Fi 6 for faster internet speeds, along with Bluetooth 5.2. For audio and video, they support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, ensuring immersive sound and visuals. Additionally, the front-facing camera offers a 1080p resolution, making it ideal for video conferencing and virtual meetings.
