The Galaxy FE series has always been a budget-friendly option for those who want Samsung’s top designs with a few compromises. This year, leaked specs suggest the Galaxy S24 FE will be stepping up its game.
The Galaxy S24 series is Samsung’s priciest lineup, featuring minor upgrades in design and processing power. A similar experience is expected to be offered by the Galaxy S24 FE, with the same look but some cost-cutting measures under the hood.
New leaks reveal that the new FE will feature a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate (via Android Headlines). It can reach a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, comparable to Google’s a-series. In comparison, the Galaxy S24+ has the same display size; therefore, the S24 FE is larger than the base Galaxy S24.
The leaks also indicate that the new FE phone will have a 4,565mAh battery. It will be powered by the Exynos 2400e.
The leak reveals that the Galaxy S24 FE will include AI features like Portrait Studio, Circle to Search, Generative Edit, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate. Samsung plans to bring Galaxy AI to older and new A-series devices, focusing on equipping these phones with powerful hardware. The new Galaxy FE will likely benefit from most of these AI features.
The device is expected to feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP 3x optical zoom. With Samsung’s recent improvements in camera processing, it will be interesting to see how the FE S24 performs in photography.
Pricing for the new FE hasn’t been announced yet, but it is likely to be higher than the S23 FE. Samsung’s flagships has been increased by about $100, this trend is expected to be followed by the S24 FE.
