The series is set to stream globally, only on Netflix, starting September 11, 2025.

From Doormat to Diva: What is Kontrabida Academy?
The story of Kontrabida Academy follows Gigi, played by Barbie Forteza. Everything in her life is falling apart—sa trabaho, sa pamilya, pati ba naman sa love life. But, her life is about to change. The fierce and fabulous Mauricia, played by the iconic Eugene Domingo, invites her to enroll at the mysterious Kontrabida Academy.
Here, Gigi will learn it all. She will learn how to be bad, how to be bongga, and most importantly, how to be brave. The series is a comedic exploration of finding your inner strength by embracing your inner villain.
A Masterclass in Acting
The series is led by two of the country’s most acclaimed actresses. Barbie Forteza, known for her versatile acting, takes on the role of the down-on-her-luck Gigi. Meanwhile, the legendary Eugene Domingo commands the screen as the academy’s headmistress, Mauricia. Their on-screen chemistry, as seen in the official trailer, already promises a masterclass in comedic timing and heartfelt moments.
