Instagram has rolled out a new feature worldwide, letting users add music to their profiles.
Meta’s Instagram is gradually rolling out a new feature globally, allowing users to add a soundtrack to their profile that others can play while browsing their posts.
Instagram is also introducing other music-related features, like the Add Yours music sticker, adding music to carousel posts, and the option to include up to 20 soundtracks in a single reel.
To add a song to your Instagram profile, just go to your profile and click ‘Edit Profile.’ You’ll find a music option below the gender section. From there, you can choose any song available on the app and add it to your profile. You can select a specific part of the track, and up to 30 seconds of it will play.
If your Spotify account is linked to Instagram, you can also add songs from your Spotify library. The song will stay on your profile until you decide to remove it.
Currently, this feature is only available on mobile devices. It’s being rolled out gradually, so make sure your app is up to date to access it.
