Earlier this month, Infinix introduced the 5G-enabled Hot 50, and now they’re back with a more budget-friendly 4G version. While it shares the same sleek design as its 5G counterpart, there are some notable differences in the specifications.

The Infinix Hot 50 4G runs on the Helio G100 chipset, replacing the Dimensity 6300 and limiting it to a 4G modem. However, you can expect similar performance since both chips use a 6nm process and share the same CPU and GPU cores. It offers options of 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS storage. Plus, it has a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 2TB.

Aside from the modem, the Hot 50 4G boasts some nice upgrades. The IPS LCD now measures 6.78 inches with FHD+ resolution, an upgrade from the previous 6.7-inch HD+ display. Both screens run at a smooth 120Hz and offer an Always on Display feature. You’ll also find a convenient side-mounted fingerprint reader for added security.

The 4G model has a 50MP rear camera with a brighter f/1.6 lens but a smaller 1/2.76-inch sensor compared to the f/1.8 lens and 1/2.0-inch sensor on the 5G model. Both cameras can record video at 1440p resolution at 30fps or 1080p at up to 60fps. The selfie camera remains unchanged at 8MP.

Both versions come with a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging via USB-C. Infinix claims the battery retains at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.

Infinix claims nearly 9 hours of gameplay on a single charge while playing FreeFire, which supports 90fps and features a 120Hz touch sampling rate on the Hot 50 4G.

The 4G model offers basic dust and water resistance, but Infinix hasn’t specified an IP rating (the 5G version has IP54). In addition to the USB-C port, it includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and an FM radio receiver for music lovers. For wireless connectivity, you’ll find Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth support. Notably, the 4G version also comes with NFC, which is missing from the 5G model.

Infinix Hot 50 4G

The Infinix Hot 50 4G is already available in some countries. One store in Ukraine has priced it at UAH 6,800, which translates to about $165, €150, or approximately ₱9,200. The phone comes in several stylish color options, including Sleek Black, Sage Green, and Titanium Gray.
