At the heart of the GS4 MAX HEV is GAC’s 2.0L Atkinson-cycle dedicated hybrid engine, paired with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and a 2.1 kWh Nickel Cobalt Manganese (NCM) battery. The multi-mode system transitions seamlessly between Pure Electric (EV), Hybrid (HV), Direct Engine Drive, and Energy Recuperation modes.
The system achieves a combined power output of 232 HP (173 kW) and a maximum motor torque of 300 N·m. Furthermore, it delivers an outstanding total combined driving range of up to 1,250 kilometers on a single tank.
