AMD has unveiled the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the successor to the 7800X3D, with an impressive performance boost. It delivers on average, 8% higher frame rates than its predecessor, with certain games seeing up to a 26% increase.
The 9800X3D comes with a total of 96MB of L3 cache, divided into 32MB on the CCD and 64MB on a separate die. Notably, AMD has positioned the 3D V-Cache beneath the CCD this time, which, according to the company, enhances cooling efficiency.
This processor features a 4nm CCD, 3D V-Cache, and 6nm I/O die, totaling 104MB of cache, including 8MB L2.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D has 8 Zen 5 cores, 16 threads, a 4.7GHz base, and 5.2GHz boost—beating the 7800X3D’s 5.0GHz. It’s the first fully unlocked X3D processor, offering overclocking potential with adequate cooling.
This processor is compatible with AM5 motherboards and launches worldwide on November 7 for $480—approximately ₱27,400.
