YouTube Premium subscription prices will be going up in the Philippines starting this October.
The Individual Plan is getting a price increase, going from PHP 159 to PHP 189 per month. The Family Plan is also affected, jumping from PHP 239 to PHP 379.
As for the Student Plan, there’s no word yet on a price change. For now, it looks like it’s staying at PHP 115 per month.
The price hike follows similar increases in other countries this year. YouTube has been emailing subscribers to explain the reasoning behind the decision.
The email mentions that the price increase helps the company enhance the platform while supporting creators and artists. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, subscribers can check their current plan details for confirmation.
Simply go to Settings > Purchases and Memberships in the YouTube app. YouTube Premium offers better video quality, ad-free viewing, background and offline playback, and access to YouTube Music.
