A Leica logo will be found on the rear of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, directly over the camera arrangement.
Digital Chat Station, a frequent leaker, posted a photo of the back panel on Weibo, along with confirmation that Leica will put its branding on Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship. Outside of Leica’s own, quite exclusive Leitz 1 phone, this will be the first time a phone wears the renowned emblem.
Furthermore, Digital Chat Station has confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra’s back panel will be available in black leather or white ceramic. The leather is said to have a distinct texture.
The upcoming Xiaomi flagship will sport the same triple camera setup on the rear, with a 50MP 24mm wide camera, a 48MP 120mm periscope zoom, and a 48MP 12mm ultrawide camera.
When Xiaomi and Leica announced their collaboration, they teased that the first Leica-branded product will be released in July. We’ll find out whether it’s the Xiaomi 12 Ultra or the 12S.
