“We’re excited to collaborate with CCAP to provide crucial financial education that makes digital payments more accessible to Filipinos. The initiative aims to boost financial literacy and promote cashless payments, offering a more seamless, secure, and convenient option. According to Visa’s latest Consumer Payment Attitudes Study, cash use in the Philippines has dropped to 87%, down from 96% in 2022. In 2023, 83% of Filipinos tried to go cashless, with 43% carrying less cash than the year before.

“CCAP is committed to promoting financial literacy and helping Filipinos make sound financial decisions. Partnering with Visa allows us to reach more people and guide them through the digital landscape, aligning with our efforts with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to promote responsible credit card use,” said Alex G. Ilagan, Executive Director, CCAP.
