Samsung plans to equip all three models of the Galaxy S25 series with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, according to a recent claim from tipster Ice Universe.
This move indicates that the company will forgo the use of the Exynos 2500 and Dimensity 9400 processors, which may only appear in the Galaxy S25 FE.
Samsung’s decision to go with an all-Snapdragon approach for the Galaxy S25 series might stem from yield issues with the Exynos 2500. Reports from Korea suggest that the new 3nm manufacturing process isn’t performing as well as anticipated, resulting in a higher number of chips failing quality certification. This has led to unstable production numbers, prompting Samsung to lean on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon instead.
Initially, many expected only the Galaxy S25 Ultra to feature a Snapdragon chipset, while the other two models would mix Qualcomm’s and Samsung’s own chipsets based on the market. However, it looks like Samsung has shifted gears and decided to go all-in on Snapdragon for the entire series.
This marks the third time we’ve come across this information, and while we can’t verify it just yet, the likelihood of it being true seems pretty high. The tipster behind this leak has a solid track record when it comes to Samsung rumors, which adds to the credibility of this claim.
