Oppo has just unveiled its Find X8 flagship phones at an event in China, and they’re shaping up as strong contenders for phone of the year. This time, Oppo brings a fresh new design with a compact Find X8 model alongside the feature packed Find X8 Pro.
The Find X8 features a 6.59-inch flat LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 1-120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Find X8 Pro has a slightly larger 6.78-inch LTPO OLED, matching the resolution and refresh rate but adding a unique micro-quad-curved design. It keeps a flat look while introducing subtle curves on all four edges for a sleek, refined feel.
Both displays boast impressive brightness, reaching up to 1,600 nits for overall peak brightness and a stunning 4,500 nits peak for HDR content. The front features a 32MP selfie camera and an optical fingerprint scanner for secure, easy access.
Amazing Hasselblad Cameras!
Oppo is bringing its most versatile camera setup yet with the Find X8 series, featuring the sleek new Cosmos Ring design for the camera island. It’s noticeably more compact than last year’s Find X7 yet packed with powerful camera hardware.
The Find X8 packs a powerful 50MP main camera featuring Sony’s LYT-700 sensor—a large 1/1.56” sensor with a 24mm lens and optical image stabilization (OIS) for sharp, steady shots. It’s paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera (ISOCELL JN5) with autofocus and a 15mm equivalent focal length. Completing the setup is a 3x periscope zoom camera, equipped with a 73mm IMX882 sensor (1/1.95”) and OIS. Thanks to a triple prism design, this periscope lens is more compact, taking up less space than typical periscope lenses.
With its larger size, the Find X8 Pro brings even more camera versatility, adding a second 50MP periscope lens with 6x optical zoom. This uses a 1/2.51” IMX858 sensor, f/4.3 aperture, and OIS for enhanced zoom capabilities. The Pro also carries over the Find X8’s 50MP ultra-wide and 3x telephoto lenses, while the main 50MP camera gets an upgrade with a larger 1/1.4” LYT-808 sensor for better low-light performance.
Both models come equipped with Oppo’s new HyperTone image engine, merging nine RAW frames per shot to deliver outstanding clarity, dynamic range, and minimal noise. Hasselblad Portrait Mode makes a return, and there’s also a new LivePhoto feature that captures a short video before and after each shot, adding an extra layer of storytelling to your photos.
The Find X8 Pro introduces a “Quick Button”—a dedicated camera button that launches the camera app with a double press, works as a shutter button, and lets you smoothly zoom in and out. Oppo is also bringing back its alert slider for quick mode switching.
The New Dimensity 9400!
These are the first Oppo phones powered by the new Dimensity 9400 chipset. To keep performance at its peak, Oppo has equipped them with an advanced cooling system featuring a graphite layer, vapor chamber, and thermal conductive gel directly on the motherboard.
Both the Find X8 and X8 Pro will launch with the new ColorOS 15, featuring enhanced AI tools and a fresh design. The Find X8 packs a 5,630 mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the Pro model upgrades to a 5,910 mAh cell. Both support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and they come with IP69 water and dust resistance.

The Find X8 is available in Starfield Black, Floating Light White, Chasing Wind Blue, and Bubble Pink. Pricing starts at CNY 4,199 (~ PHP 33,000) for the 12/256GB model and goes up to CNY 4,999 (~ PHP 39,000) for the 16/512GB version.
