The OnePlus 13R introduces a highly anticipated feature—a telephoto lens. While it doesn’t match the flagship OnePlus 13, it offers great value for those seeking a more affordable option.
Priced at $600/€750 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, the 13R is a step up from the 12R, which started at $500 for an 8GB/128GB version. India also gets a 16GB/512GB variant priced at ₹50,000, with the base model at ₹43,000.
The 13R features a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-700 sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), capable of recording 4K video at 60fps. The standout addition is a 50MP telephoto lens with a 47mm focal length, providing 2x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. Other cameras include an 8MP ultra-wide and a 16MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the 13R is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also features OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, with 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.
The battery is boosted to 6,000mAh with 80W SuperVOOC charging, offering a full charge in 52 minutes. The phone retains a similar weight and thickness as the 12R, with improved water resistance (IP65) and new features like Aqua Touch 2.0 and Glove Mode.
The 13R’s 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The phone also includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 2.0 data on the USB-C port.
