After months of beta testing, Nothing is finally rolling out the stable version of Nothing OS 3.0, based on Android 15. The update has been in the works since October, and today, the company is bringing the latest version to its phones, marking a significant milestone for its users.

The update is being rolled out in stages to the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a). Since it’s a gradual rollout, it may take a few days for it to reach all devices, and Nothing has even mentioned that it could take until the end of the year for every unit to get the update.

If you have either of these two smartphones and haven’t received the update notification yet, you can manually check by heading to Settings > System Update.

Nothing OS 3.0 also introduces a new native app, the Nothing Gallery. It comes with an advanced search function and enhanced editing tools, including filters, markup options, and smart suggestions.

The team completely redesigned the lock screen, making it fully customizable. It now includes Shared Widgets that allow you to interact with friends and family. There’s also a new Countdown Widget, and the AI-powered Smart Drawer automatically organizes your apps into folders for easier access.

You can also look forward to improved Quick Settings, a better Pop-up View, updated typography across the OS, and some “visual and performance enhancements”—though we’ll have to wait and see exactly what those entail.

The update will roll out to the Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 in early 2025.
