Motorola usually offers three years of OS updates and four years of security patches for its high-end phones, while budget models get less. Motorola has announced its first phone that will receive five years of OS updates.
Motorola’s Edge 50 Neo launches in India on September 16, offering five years of Android updates and security patches. It will be available on Flipkart. Check out the screenshot below for more details.
This is a big upgrade from Motorola’s usual three years of updates. The Edge 50 Neo, an upper mid-range model, stands out with five years of Android updates. For comparison, Motorola’s budget phones typically receive just two Android updates and three years of security patches.
