Samsung is set to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series on January 22. Brazilian publication Technoblog has leaked what appears to be official marketing materials. These documents offer a detailed look at the key specifications and exciting new AI features.
The Galaxy S25+ and S25 models will feature a versatile camera setup. The setup includes a 50MP main sensor with 2x in-sensor zoom and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. It also features a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP selfie camera. The S25+ will be equipped with a 4,900 mAh battery, the same as its predecessor. Samsung claims it will provide up to 30 hours of video playback, making it a solid option for media enthusiasts.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, the top-tier model in the series, will retain the camera setup of its predecessor. It includes a massive 200MP main sensor and a 50MP periscope lens offering 5x optical zoom. Additionally, there is a 10MP “short” telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The S25 Ultra will receive an upgrade with a new 50MP ultrawide lens. This will replace the outdated 12MP sensor found in earlier Ultra models. The front will continue to feature a 12MP selfie camera. The S25 Ultra will house a 5,000 mAh battery, maintaining the same capacity as the previous generation. However, it will offer an extended video playback time of up to 31 hours.
All devices in the Galaxy S25 series will run on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. They will also be paired with 12GB of RAM as standard, ensuring smooth performance even during heavy usage. This chipset will support a variety of advanced AI-driven features designed to enhance user experience.
One of the standout new features is the introduction of personalized AI-powered summaries. These will be provided through the “Brief” feature, which includes a morning brief, a commute brief, and an evening summary. The morning brief will give users essential information like the weather forecast, daily schedule, and even an “energy score” if they are using a Samsung wearable. The commute brief will automatically launch navigation and music playback as users enter their vehicle, streamlining the travel experience. The evening summary will analyze the day’s activities, providing insights into trends and even generating “memorable moments” photo collages based on images captured throughout the day.
Additionally, the S25 series will leverage an enhanced Google Gemini AI integration, offering seamless interaction between Samsung’s first-party apps and Google’s AI assistant. This will enable users to ask Gemini to read content from apps like YouTube and interact with Samsung apps such as Samsung Notes, significantly expanding the range of voice-activated functions. This integration is poised to make the Galaxy S25 series one of the most intelligent smartphones in the market, with robust AI features designed to improve productivity and overall usability.
With these new specifications and features, the Galaxy S25 series is set to offer a compelling combination of cutting-edge hardware and innovative AI functionality, ensuring it remains a top contender in the premium smartphone market.
