Apple is rumored to be scheduling its fall event for September 10, where they’ll unveil the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, along with new AirPods and Apple Watches. This info comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
The iPhone 16 series will look quite similar to the iPhone 15 models, but with a new feature: a capacitive button on the side for taking photos and videos. If Apple sticks to its plan, we’ll see the iPhone 16 announced on September 10 and available for sale globally on September 20.
While Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the date for the iPhone 16 event, it typically announces new iPhones on the second Tuesday of September. Bloomberg’s report suggests the company will stick to this tradition. Expect media invites to go out in the next week or so.
Along with the new ‘Capture Button,’ the iPhone 16 series will feature upgraded displays and cameras. The new A18 chip will boost AI capabilities, enhancing AI Intelligence features. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature larger screens, around 6.3 and 6.9 inches diagonally.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is rumored to feature larger displays and thinner cases, marking one of its biggest updates in years.
Apple is also expected to introduce two new models of entry-level AirPods, with noise cancellation features for the first time.
The company is reportedly testing new Macs with M4 chips, but they’re expected to launch after September, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
