Despite this, The company is expanding AI Overviews to six more countries—UK, India, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil—replacing the more reliable old version. The expansion includes local language support.
Despite AI Overviews‘ flaws, Google reports higher engagement from younger users, suggesting it might even rival TikTok. The company also claims users find the AI-enhanced search results more helpful, though accuracy isn’t emphasized. Additionally, a new right-hand link display is available on desktop, and Google is testing links within AI Overviews to make topic exploration easier.
Google is testing a new feature in Search Labs that lets you save AI Overviews for later by tapping a Save button. Access saved overviews via your profile’s Interests page. Available only in English for US users enrolled in the “AI Overviews and more” experiment. Some AI Overviews also offer a one-tap option to simplify the language for easier understanding.
