Get ready for a magical twist of destiny and desire. Netflix has officially announced its new Korean fantasy rom-com, Genie, Make a Wish. The series stars two of the biggest names in Hallyu: Kim Woo-bin and Suzy. Furthermore, it comes from the brilliant mind of writer Kim Eun-sook, the creative force behind global hits like The Glory.

Kim Woo-bin as Jinn, the Genie Leading the cast is Kim Woo-bin (Black Knight), who portrays the genie, Jinn. Unlike the kind genies we know, the series describes him as a “Satan” who tempts humans with wishes. However, having awakened after a millennium, he is also eccentric and naive about the modern world.
Suzy as Ka-young, the Master Suzy (Doona!, Start-up) plays Ka-young, the owner of the genie’s lamp. Her character is an “emotionless psychopath.” But, her grandmother and the entire village raised her with hope. As a result, she possesses wealth, education, and beauty.
The Supporting Cast In addition, a talented supporting cast joins them:
- Ahn Eun-jin (The Good Bad Mother) as the mysterious Mi-joo.
- Noh Steve Sang-hyun (Pachinko) as Soo-hyun, the genie’s rival brother.
- Ko Kyu-phil (The Fiery Priest) as Sayyid, the genie’s assistant who is secretly a black jaguar.
