AI is a key focus of Samsung’s strategy, with the company partnering with Google to bring Gemini to Galaxy devices. A recent leak suggests that Gemini may soon integrate with Samsung Notes, Calendar, and Reminders, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. This move could offer users a more seamless and intelligent experience across their devices.
Last year, Samsung’s partnership with Google focused on AI features like Circle to Search in the Galaxy S24 series. However, it looks like this time around, the company is shifting its attention to Gemini. Leaks suggest Gemini will play a bigger role in upcoming devices, bringing advanced AI capabilities to Samsung’s smartphones.
We’re getting a clearer picture of what’s to come. Leaker @chunvn8888 on Twitter/X recently shared screenshots showing extensions for Samsung Notes, Calendar, and Reminders. With user permission, this integration would allow Google’s AI to interact with these preinstalled Samsung apps to provide more helpful answers, complete tasks, and much more.
For Samsung Calendar, Gemini could create, edit, and delete events, even generating events from images. Similarly, with Samsung Reminders, Gemini could handle creating, editing, and deleting reminders, although some functions might be limited. As for Samsung Notes, Gemini would not only be able to create new notes but also summarize existing ones and even retrieve notes based on their titles or descriptions. It’s shaping up to be a pretty useful feature set.
These features are likely to debut with the Galaxy S25 series, as part of Samsung’s latest push with Galaxy AI. However, the real focus will be on how these features integrate with Google’s apps. Right now, Gemini is already available with extensions for popular apps like Gmail, WhatsApp, Google Workspace, Spotify, and more, offering a wide range of AI-powered capabilities.
