Last week, a rumor surfaced claiming that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim would “almost certainly not be offered through US carriers.” Today, new information has emerged regarding the potential list of countries and regions where the S25 Slim will be available. The list includes 39 locations, far fewer than the other Galaxy S25 models. This indicates that the S25 Slim will have a more selective release.

Galaxy S25

If you’re hoping to buy the S25 Slim, it will be available in Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, France, India, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, Montenegro, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, UK, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The leak also mentions the Caucasus region, though it does not specify the countries in this area.

Notable countries like the United States, Canada, China, Germany, Italy, and Spain are missing from the list. Samsung excludes South Korea, suggesting it won’t sell the S25 Slim in these regions. It might not even be available through carriers. The absence of the S25 Slim may disappoint consumers in these countries. This is particularly surprising given the high demand for Samsung’s flagship devices.

Samsung has opted for a more geographically limited release of the S25 Slim. However, it won’t be as exclusive as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The reasons behind this decision are still unclear. Samsung’s market research may indicate higher demand for the slimmer model in these 39 regions. This could explain the selective release. Samsung may be testing the waters to gauge the S25 Slim’s performance in select markets. Based on the results, they could expand its availability later.

Samsung will unveil the device at its Unpacked event on January 22, alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Rumors suggest that the S25 Slim may not be available until later in the year, likely after the release of the other three models. Despite its slim profile, measuring 6.4mm thick, the S25 Slim is expected to be the thinnest model in the Galaxy S25 lineup, though only slightly thinner than its counterparts.

The limited release may force buyers in the US and Europe to explore alternatives or import the S25 Slim if they’re set on owning it.
