Apple has officially unveiled its latest iPhone 16 series, featuring the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. These new models bring a host of upgrades, offering enhanced performance, improved camera systems, and sleek design updates.
The new iPhones now come with a customizable action button, letting you set it up for your favorite shortcuts. They’ve also added a new Camera Control button that reacts to gestures, making it easier to snap photos or switch modes on the fly.
The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Plus offers a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both models have a 60Hz refresh rate, but one noticeable upgrade is the thinner bezels, giving the phones a sleeker look.
Interestingly, Apple has updated the camera layout on the iPhone 16 Series, giving it a look that feels nostalgic for older models. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus also bring back familiar features like USB Type-C charging and the popular Dynamic Island.
The iPhone 16 Series comes with a dual-rear camera setup, featuring a 48-megapixel main sensor and an ultrawide lens. The ultrawide camera has a brighter f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, allowing it to double as a macro camera for close-up shots.
This lineup also introduces the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence, powered by iOS 18. It’s all driven by the new A18 processor, a 3nm chip with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. It also packs a 16-core neural engine, boosting performance by up to 30%.
The iPhone 16 Series starts with 128GB of storage. Pricing begins at USD 799 (around PHP 45K) for the base model and USD 899 (around PHP 51K) for the iPhone 16 Plus. We’ll update this story as more details come in.
