Private Space adds an extra layer of security by letting you lock away sensitive apps behind additional authentication. When you enable this feature, those apps will be kept separate from the rest, meaning they won’t show up in your app drawer, recent apps, notifications, or settings.

Android 15 also brings some great enhancements for tablets and foldable phones. You can now pin your taskbar for quick access to your favorite apps and app pairs, and unpinning it is just as simple with the same toggle. This makes multitasking smoother than ever!

Another exciting security feature making its debut is Theft Detection Lock, which will be available on most devices running Android 10 and up. Specifically, this feature automatically locks your phone whenever it detects any suspicious activity, thereby helping to protect your personal information in case your device is stolen. Furthermore, it uses your device’s sensors and AI to recognize movements typically associated with theft, like a sudden swipe and dash. Along with the rollout of Android 15, Google also unveiled its October Pixel feature drop. This update introduces hands-free Google Gemini for Pixel Buds Pro, Pro 2, and Pixel Buds A-series earbuds, making it even easier to interact with your devices!

Pixel 8 and newer phones are set to enjoy some fantastic upgrades! The Night Sight and Astrophotography modes are getting enhancements, plus you’ll now have dedicated underwater photography and video recording modes. The Audio Magic Eraser will make it easier to isolate specific sounds during your video recordings.

On top of that, the Pixel Weather app is adding a pollen tracker, which is great for allergy sufferers, and the thermometer app on the Pixel 8 Pro will now support the camera viewfinder, making it even more user-friendly!
