AirAsia’s Dream It initiative continues to champion creativity across Asean, and this year’s AirAsia Dream It: Vol. 2 took rising creators right into the vibrant heart of Tokyo’s gaming culture. In collaboration with SEGA, Dreamers explored iconic gaming districts, attended hands-on creative sessions, and stepped onto the world stage at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
Dream It remains a key experience under The Colour of Connection (TCOC) campaign—a movement designed to connect People, Places, and Passion throughout the region. This second volume shows how gaming transcends borders, ignites imagination, and creates pathways for new talent.

People: Meeting the Dreamers Behind the Journey
Every Dream It story begins with its creators. This year’s spotlight shone brightly on Team Glep, winners of RedGames Jam 2025, AirAsia’s annual 48-hour game jam held with SEGA, MDEC, and Asia Pacific University. Their grand prize? A full creative immersion in Japan, including behind-the-scenes access with SEGA at Tokyo Game Show.
Guiding the group was streamer and community builder Denise Teo (@supercatkei), whose energy and heart helped the Dreamers connect deeply with the city and with each other. What began as a simple lobby meetup quickly evolved into storytelling, shared passions, and the spark of collaboration.

Places: Discovering Tokyo’s Gaming Heartbeat
Tokyo became a living canvas for imagination.
- Akihabara welcomed the Dreamers with its mix of retro gaming, collectibles, and endless inspiration. At Gachapon Kaikan, each capsule toy became a reminder that creativity often starts from delightful little surprises.
- At Taito Station, the group jumped into rhythm games, claw machines, and arcade classics—laughing, competing, and experiencing firsthand how gaming builds instant connections.
- A morning at Kokyogaien National Garden shifted the vibe to calm reflection. Denise guided the Dreamers through sketching and idea-sharing sessions, offering space to breathe and refill their creative well.
Passion: Learning Through Play and Discovery
One standout moment was a Game Console Mod Workshop with Tokyo-based group PLUS-Y (Emmi, Toshi, and Shio Sensei). Dreamers learned to rebuild and customize iconic handheld consoles—each transformed into uniquely AirAsia-branded creations. It was a beautiful glimpse into Japan’s maker culture and the communities preserving gaming history.
The journey then peaked at Tokyo Game Show 2025, where Dreamers visited SEGA’s booth, explored Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and even spotted a special AirAsia machine decal inside the game—a symbol of the growing synergy between SEGA and AirAsia.
Takaya Segawa, Executive Vice President of SEGA Corporation, met with the Dreamers and shared rare insights about innovation, creativity, and the evolving future of play.
A Brand Experience Connecting Asean to the World
“Dream It brings AirAsia’s purpose to life—connecting People, Places and Passion across Asean,” said Lin Tze, Head of Brand of AirAsia Next. With every new volume, Dream It elevates rising creators, strengthens communities, and encourages people to dream boldly beyond borders.
Because when creativity moves, an entire region moves with it.
