Realme has unveiled its 320W SuperSonic Charge, the world’s fastest smartphone charging technology. This new tech can fully charge a smartphone battery in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds. It achieves 26% charge in one minute and over 50% in less than two minutes.
This 320W SuperSonic Charge slightly outpaces Redmi’s 300W technology, which takes 4 minutes and 55 seconds to fully charge a 4,000 mAh battery. In comparison, Realme’s tech charges a 4,400 mAh cell in under 5 minutes.
The 320W power adapter, dubbed the “Pocket Cannon,” boasts a power density of 3.3W/cm³ and is similar in size to Realme’s 240W charger. It supports mainstream charging protocols, including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC, and features two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging—150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.
At today’s event, Realme also introduced the “AirGap” Voltage Transformer. This innovative feature uses contact-free electromagnetic conversion to ensure high voltage stays isolated from the battery during faults like circuit breakdowns, providing a risk-free charging experience.
Realme claims this transformer, which is smaller than a fingertip, reduces the voltage to 20V to protect the battery. It maintains exceptional conversion efficiency and thermal management, enabling the 320W SuperSonic Charge to achieve around 98% power efficiency.
Alongside the 320W SuperSonic Charge, Realme unveiled a 4,420 mAh folded battery. This battery includes four cells, each less than 3mm thick, offering a 10% increase in capacity compared to traditional designs. Could this hint at Realme preparing to launch a foldable device? We might find out soon.
Realme’s event wasn’t just about batteries and charging. The brand also introduced a solid-state button and an anti-reflective display for its smartphones.
The solid-state button offers seamless sliding for instant zoom and quick clicks, mimicking a dedicated camera’s feel.
The anti-reflective display, inspired by the structure of a moth’s eye, minimizes reflections by up to 80%. This offers a paper-like texture for comfortable viewing in bright sunlight, clear visibility at lower brightness, and reduced power consumption.
Realme also unveiled AI Motion Picture technology and AI Gaming Super Resolution. Powered by NEXT AI, the AI Motion Picture tech turns a single image into a dynamic 25-frame video. Meanwhile, the AI Gaming Super Resolution uses on-device AI to deliver smooth, clear visuals.
