GoPro has just unveiled its latest flagship action camera, the Hero 13 Black. It now features a larger battery for longer shooting sessions and introduces interchangeable smart lenses for added versatility.
Last night, GoPro officially launched their latest and most advanced action camera, priced at $400 (around PHP 22K).
And what does the 400-dollar worth of action camera offer?
The new Hero 13 Black lets you capture ultra-slow-motion video at 400 frames per second in 720p, though you can only record for 15 seconds at a time. It also retains all the features of its predecessor, including 5.3K resolution video. For slow-motion at this resolution, you’re capped at 120 frames per second for up to 5 seconds.
Besides built-in GPS, the Hero 13 Black now supports Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), allowing you to overlay telemetry data onto your footage for a more dynamic storytelling experience.
What’s even more exciting are the three new smart HB-Series lenses: Ultra-wide, Macro, and Anamorphic. These lenses aren’t bundled with the camera, but you can snag them separately for $100 (around PHP 5.5K).
With these new lenses, you can capture your footage in various aspect ratios, from 1:1 for a square look to 21:9 for a cinematic feel, depending on which lens you choose.
GoPro’s Hero 13 Black comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth compatibility, so you can connect effortlessly to AirPods or any wireless headphones.
